Reputedly the cause of much boogie, Detroit's Electric Six (formerly The Wildbunch) return to Club Shanghai Friday (Jan. 30) for the third time in seven months. These neo-new-wavers are favored by the city's RRR devotees (that's Real Rock 'n' Roll to you, um, sissy), and their vinyl product (like the '96 EP I Lost Control of My Rock'n' Roll ) is reminiscent of a garage-abilly Six Finger Satellite. Appropriately enough, lyrical subject matter seems solely devoted to two subjects: super rock action w/ample nudity; and alien abduction. We'd pay good money to see them and Tricky Woo armwrestle while altar boys rubbed their forearms with extra virgin olive oil.
